Welcome to all!
The objective here is to share information and resources, discuss facility concerns and offer solutions to the various QMC readers on a monthly basis……. That being said, we’ll offer a different topic each month that is relevant to today’s changing times, thus, this month’s subject is called the “Utility Grid Experiment”…………Skirting the subject of our nations in-antiquated utility grids, I find myself wondering if we as a nation will ever get our arms around this problem…..For more years than I care to remember, our nations lighting grids, phone and internet communications have fallen below what I feel is even acceptable for use….Recent storms in the northeast hampered utility connectivity for many weeks as paying customers voiced their disapprovals……Neighborhood high power lines lay unsecured, phone and internet services off for days……. One would assume that after the last weather event, the local utility commissions would have called for some kind of preventative maintenance measure, “oh how we wish”…….
Consider this, politicians making promises, the local utilities unaware of the full problem as millions of dollars per day are pumped back into our nations utility infrastructure, yet, we can’t get the lights turned back on timely, after a storm…..What’s your opinion because QMC has determined that this “experiment” has failed …….
